Commonweal GCSE Results – Summer 2025
Commonweal School is delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students as they receive their results today. The Class of 2025 have demonstrated resilience and responsibility throughout their studies. Today’s success stories reflect the dedication of staff, the encouragement of families and friends…and most importantly, the grit and determination of the students themselves.
We are thrilled with an overall improving Attainment8 with this cohort. 100% of our students can celebrate qualifications today. 62% of students achieved at least 5 x Grade 4s and nearly 1/4 of our students gained 3 x Grade 7s. There are lots of Commonweal success stories to report where students have improved their grades from pre-apps to the real exams. One student said today: “I just got on with the revision, focussed on the work that needed doing, took the advice of my teachers. I’m so relieved!”
Particular recognition goes to individuals who achieved the top Grade 9s, a result reserved for the highest-performing students nationwide. We also commend those who have made exceptional progress across their five years at Commonweal, such Matilda Blake, Phoebe Carter, Matthew Headford, Violet Winfield, James Castle, Zahra Yeasmin, Marshevert Atofey and Rayyan Meah.
Headteacher Charles Drew said:
“Our Year 11s should be proud of their efforts and achievements today. Their resilience has been remarkable. They leave Commonweal ready for the next stage of their educational journeys. I would like to thank our dedicated staff, parents, and carers for their unwavering support.”
