A Level Results 2024

2024 Students getting A-Level ResultsWe would like to congratulate all students on their outstanding achievements and exam results this August. The new academic year marks 10 years of C6 and what better way to mark this event than by this year’s excellent outcomes. We have been impressed, as ever, with the long-term commitment and ambition of our Year 13 students. We are so excited to see their hard-earned results materialise into an impressive rate of progression into higher-level degree courses, apprenticeships and a range of work-based opportunities.

Our Headteacher Chas Drew said “Another great set of results for Commonweal and C6 – well done to you all. We are so proud that our teaching and support teams at this key stage have helped ensure our latest cohort of students has a strong foundation, whatever their future goals may be.  A huge thank you goes to the parents and carers who have supported the whole of our school and sixth form community throughout.”

With a 97% A*- E pass rate and 21% of all grades achieved at A*- A, we are very happy to see that C6 has continued to support students in gaining academic success and in their acceptance of a wide and exciting range of Higher Education and vocational pathways.

C6 would like to celebrate notable individual performances for both attainment and progress.  These include: Katie Doig (A*, Distinction*, A, B), McKenzie Long (3 x As), Robyn Bevan (4 x As), Jaiden Colucci (A*A*A), Luisa Di Santos (A, B, B and a C), Will Finney (3 x As), Milan Gohil (A*, A, A), Rosanna Headford (A*, A, A), Sam Innes (A, A, A, B), Polly Loveday (A*, A, A), Shreya Rajesh (4 x A*s) and Celeste Troncone (A*, A, A, B).

There were very strong subject performances throughout this cohort, with students making exceptional progress against their targets in Further Maths, Computer Science, Psychology, Modern Foreign Languages and the Performing Arts amongst other subjects. An initial analysis of UCAS places suggests more than 70 University accepted offers already with many more in the pipeline. Destinations and courses range from History and Politics at Oxford University, Medicine at St George’s, London, Aeronautical Engineering at Loughborough and Football Coaching & Development with the University of South Wales. A range of apprenticeship opportunities have also been accepted including a highly sought-after position at BMW for Lilli Arati. In addition, Megan Hutchings and Amy Muir will be joining the Northern Ballet and London Studio Centre respectively. We are also confident that students planning a gap year before taking further steps are now doing so from a position of understanding and strength.

Our students always impress us with their mature and systematic approach in preparing for their final exams. Their collaboration with teachers and fellow students in order to revise and consolidate knowledge during over their two years at C6 has served them well.
